Active ingredients in cannabis

THC and CBD

The cannabis plant contains a unique group of chemicals called cannabinoids which affect the human body in a variety of ways.

Although there are more than 100 cannabinoids, the best known are delta-9- tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD) as they are generally the focus of medical use.

THC is the compound that is responsible for the psychotropic effect of cannabis, and because of this is often referred to as the active constituent of cannabis. CBD compounds have different biological effects with virtually no psychotropic potential.

Medical Cannabis Types

SATIVA - INDICA - RUDERALIS

Cannabis "SATIVA"
The most common type of cannabis used today in the world, is higher and narrower than the indica, and its fingers are relatively thin and long and can breathe efficiently and contain high humidity.
Cannabis "INDICA"
This species of indica is the second most common in the world, the vegetation is lower and wider than the Sativa and its fingers are relatively broad and short. This allows it to cope with heat and dry conditions.
Cannabis "RUDERALIS"
The ruderalis is a relatively rare Specie. Grows relatively consistently and is less affected by the 'dark light' attitude. Produces inflorescence only at its end and has a tiny percentage of psychoactive substance THC.
